Comments: This muthafuckah was a long time in the making. It will also take a long time to listen to it. Sorry. When I sit to write a rhyme I get lost in space and time and epics seem to escape from my mind. I get lost in details and descriptions. To me the those are what make the story and when one arrives at the point of the story or the punchline it makes it all the more gratifying. I wrote this in or around June 2007 recorded it shortly thereafter. I hated my first two recordings and scraped them. I wanted some music for it, because I liked it and wanted to do it to be as good as possible. I had a guy who was I was trying to get to do some acoustic guitar for it, but he bailed. I packed up my testicles and went through my loops and looped some shit. The problem is the tempo is slow and the lyrics are long, so it's fuckin' long.

"Blue" is not a particularly funny song. A lot of what I write isn't specifically funny or serious. I blend a lot. It's kind of sad song, but if you can laugh at people's pain you may find it humorous. It's free, so it won't hurt to give it a try.

In July 2007 I decided the instrumental worked for what I wanted and decided to record it. Production is not my strong point. I'm just not knowledgable enough to make high quality beats at will and I have no budget, so I have to go with "that'll work." I gathered up my jock strap, some pink lemonade, Thug Radio Smurf & Phil M. Cockenbolz and recorded my epic masterpiece, "Blue". Alright, the masterpiece label is really up to the listener and history to decide, but epic is undeniable. We spent quite a few hours that night recording.

Since that night I've done a lot of editing, tweaking, re-recording, re-re-recording, adding to the instumental, taking away from the instrumental, re-adding to the instrumental, recording background vocals, recording more background vocals, recording more background vocals, listening over and over and over and making other people listen over and over and over and tweaking and tweaking and listening and shitting in my pants because I forgot to get up and go to the bathroom. I'm a perfectionist. I finally let people talk me into believing it's ready for release and no one else will notice the flaws I keep trying to fix. The more flaws I fix the more I find.

Due to it's epic size, I cut it up into three tracks with each being a part, like Soul singers did the '70s. Each part is still too long for a song, but oh fuckin' well. If your attention span is really that short you need some help for your a.d.d. I can't add either, don't worry. The "Explosive Epic Version" still features material that is not available in the individual pieces. For the majority of these tracks this will be the only place they're available.

So here is "Blue". Download it and listen to it and if you like it spread it around like warm butter on a hot chicks ass and you just wanna spank it and take a bite...what? It's fuckin' free, just take it!!! - D (2:38 PM 9/21/2008)
